AllOne Health has released its 2026 Annual Report: A Complete Review of 2025 EAP & Mental Health Benefit Trends, providing HR leaders, brokers, and organizational decision-makers with new data on Employee Assistance Program (EAP) utilization, workplace mental health trends, and five-year outcomes research.

Drawing from more than 100,000 counseling cases, nearly 60,000 work-life cases, and over 15,000 workplace service cases across five years, the report offers a comprehensive look at how employees access support and how integrated EAP models influence workforce stability and performance.

EAP Counseling Resolves Most Concerns Within One Month

AllOne Health’s five-year analysis confirms that brief EAP counseling consistently resolves most employee concerns within one month.

Key findings include:

  • Median time to resolution: 28 days
  • Average sessions per case: 3.4
  • Average counseling episode: 44 days

Emotional concerns (22%), anxiety (12%), and stress (10%) remain the most common presenting issues. With 77% of referrals related to mental health counseling in 2025, AllOne Health’s five-year data show that most concerns are resolved within one month through brief counseling—highlighting EAP’s role as an accessible, short-term mental health solution.

Multiple Counseling Modalities Strengthen EAP Engagement

AllOne Health’s analysis of EAP utilization trends confirms that employees continue to use multiple counseling access options—reinforcing the importance of flexible, hybrid workforce mental health support.

Employees actively used all primary counseling modalities in 2025:

  • 47% video counseling
  • 43% in-person counseling
  • 10% telephonic counseling

Employees value choice, and EAPs that offer in-person, video, phone, and immediate access to counseling are better positioned to support engagement across diverse workforce populations.

Work-Life and Legal Referrals Increase

Beyond counseling, work-life services remain a critical driver of EAP utilization and account for 23% of the EAP referrals in 2025.

Among non-clinical cases:

  • Legal referrals: 58%
  • Financial consultations: 21%
  • Personal life assistance: 11%

The data illustrates non-clinical stressors—particularly legal and financial concerns—remain a significant component of overall EAP utilization.

Organizational Services and Formal Management Referrals Gain Traction

EAP services extend beyond individual counseling into organizational risk management and leadership support. Over five years, AllOne Health saw 15,891 Workplace Service Cases and 5,251 Formal Management Referrals (FMRs) across 3,288 organizations.

Organizational consulting most frequently addressed employee work issues (18%), substance misuse (15%), and manager/employee training (14%). FMRs were primarily initiated for substance misuse concerns (53%), work performance issues (26%), and mental health-related concerns (17%).

These findings reinforce EAP’s evolving role as both a well-being resource and a structured workplace intervention model.

High Client Satisfaction and Partnership Strength

Customer satisfaction scores remain strong across core experience measures:

  • 95% — Account manager access and response
  • 95% — Professional call handling
  • 94% — Virtual counseling access to care
  • 96% — Workplace-relevant content
  • 95% — App value
  • 98% — Critical incident effectiveness
  • 97% — Would recommend AllOne Health

These results reflect the value of engaged partnership, responsive service, and clinically grounded care.
