October marks Pregnancy, Infant and Child Loss Awareness Month, and October 15 is designated as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.
For those struggling with pain, grief, and difficult emotions in the aftermath of loss, you are not alone. Among women who know they are pregnant, up to 25 percent of those pregnancies will end in a miscarriage, according to the National Library of Medicine. And these figures do not include infant death due to preterm labor, diagnosis of life-limiting conditions, or SIDS.
