Pride Month is a mix of celebration, education, and activism. It’s an opportunity for LGBTQ+ individuals to celebrate who they are, their culture, and their contributions to society. It’s also an opportunity for everyone to gain a deeper understanding of the LGBTQ+ community, their history, and their challenges. Here are some additional resources to build awareness and highlight support services available:

• Leading by Example
Pride Month is also a good opportunity to remind organizations everywhere to promote their employee assistance programs. Recent studies show that LGBTQ+ individuals are much more likely to experience mental health challenges than the rest of the population. However, it’s not that LGBTQ individuals are inherently prone to mental health struggles, but rather they are at a higher risk because of how they are treated and stigmatized by society. Whether providing improved access to mental health care with EAP support or strengthening DEI with organizational development solutions, there are many ways to drive positive change and support whole health.
