OSHA's New Silica Standard Contains Key Medical Surveillance Requirements

Last March, OSHA issued a final silica standard to reduce lung cancer, COPD, and other diseases caused by exposure to respirable crystalline silica.  Deadlines for compliance standards, which involves medical surveillance for individuals who are occupationally exposed to respirable crystalline silica, start to kick in next year.
